Congratulations! From reading your thoughts over the last number of years I am confident that you will make a great dad. However trite it may sound, this will redefine love and happiness for you. Best Wishes for a wonderful fatherhood.

PS – remember that things start getting a lot better at roughly the six month mark, and exponentially better every month thereafter.
Boy? Girl? Don’t know, don’t care? Happy news, indeed. Wishing you the best. My son is one of the greatest joys in my life. Just discipline fairly and follow through. My sister didn’t and the difference between the way her girls are now and my son are monumental. Be sure to travel from now until baby reaches their second birthday, when they have to pay an adult fare for an airline seat! Again, many congrats to you, Waiter :=)
Congrats! My wife and I just had twin boys last week and I can’t begin to describe how awesome it is to hold your own little baby in your arms. Enjoy it as much as you can.
Woo Hoo!!! Most excellent news, Waiter. Life as you know it is about to change forever, and you have no idea what will happen to your heart. Happy congratulations to you and the lucky mamma!
Here’s where I make the tired joke (that, on reviewing the comments, I see has already been made): “Well, now we know why you’ve been too busy to post.”
But some jokes, though tired, must be made. Congratulations and very best wishes to the two — no, three — of you.
How wonderful! And ironic since my husband and I are expecting our first the exact same time. 🙂 Even more weird since you interviewed us for your book years ago. Small world! Congratulations!

On another note, if you get around to reading the comments and actually see this… I was wondering what your take on this (http://jayporter.com/dispatches/observations-from-a-tipless-restaurant-part-1-overview/) is.
