As you might have noticed, I’ve decided to start running ads on my site.

This was a move I’ve been contemplating for several months. I was going to write a long winded explanation of why I’m doing it, but everything I wrote sounded like complete bullshit. You know why I’m running ads. I know why I’m running ads. Let’s just leave it at that.

But I don’t want to turn Waiter Rant into the Vegas Strip. The ads will be small in number, low profile, and their content completely under my control. Besides, I have to sell the ads first. I hope someone buys them.

Some people will see these ads and say, “I wonder what took him so long?” Most of you won’t care. Others will be furious. Well, after almost two years of writing this blog I’ve come to the conclusion that I can’t please everybody – and I’m not gonna even try.

I love writing Waiter Rant. I love reading the comments and emails you send me. One day this blog may lead to bigger things. Maybe it won’t. But, in the meantime, running ads is something I have to do.
