    And by interesting, I mean, it may make you throw up in your mouth a little bit. It certainly made me nauseous, especially when the author says her father tips less than 10% and they are rich New Yorkers.

    Dominique, the Esquire article is right on. I have waited tables and 15% for average service is the norm just like the article says. Its nice to get 20% but not expected, we’d be rich if every table gave us 20%!

    I was driving up to Maine listening to the start of the show thinking, “I’ve got to find a URL for this when I get back so I can send it to The Waiter, this is right up his alley.”

    Luckily, just before I drove out of reception for the station I heard who the moderator was. Hope it went well.
